NEET UG MBBS Admission Merit List: There’s good news for students who qualified NEET UG 2025. After Karnataka, Assam has also initiated the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses in state medical and dental colleges. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the provisional state merit list, which includes the names of 19,809 students who qualified NEET UG 2025 from Assam.
How Many Students Appeared for NEET 2025 from Assam?
A total of 44,497 students registered for NEET UG 2025 from Assam, out of which 41,848 appeared in the exam. Among them, 19,809 candidates have been declared qualified and are included in the provisional merit list.
Who Topped NEET UG 2025 in Assam?
The state topper from Assam is Mohammad Musa Kaleem, who scored 509 marks (99.97 percentile) and secured All India Rank 509. He is followed by Aryaman Kashyap with 616 marks (AIR 577) and Gaurav Agarwal with 607 marks (AIR 963), making them the top 3 scorers from the state. Interestingly, even a student scoring 113 marks with an AIR of 13,19,314 found a place in the merit list.
Deadline for Category Changes
Candidates who wish to make corrections or changes in their category (reservation quota) can do so by submitting the prescribed form along with necessary documents in person to the DME Assam Office (Second Floor, Room No. 5) by July 11, 2025. Forms sent via post or email will not be accepted. Don’t forget to collect the receipt while submitting your application.
Information for PRC Holders and Out-of-State Students
Students who have completed their studies from Class VII to XII outside Assam but hold a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam and fulfill other eligibility criteria can also submit their documents by July 11, 2025 for consideration in the admission process.
When Will Assam MBBS/BDS Counselling Begin?
The state counselling dates will be aligned with the national schedule announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The entire counselling process will be conducted online.
