If you’re a student from Haryana and have recently passed your Class 10 board exams with high marks, there’s great news for you. Under the Free Laptop Yojana, the state government is distributing free laptops to meritorious students who have performed exceptionally well in the board exams. The primary goal of this scheme is to support students who wish to continue their education but lack digital tools.
With the help of this laptop, students will be able to attend online classes, complete academic projects, and easily manage other digital learning tasks. A total of 500 students from different categories will be selected and awarded laptops under this scheme.
Laptop Distribution Categories
The scheme covers five specific categories, with 100 students selected from each. Here’s a breakdown:

Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the Free Laptop Yojana, students must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
- Must have passed the Class 10 exam from the Haryana Board with 90% marks or more.
- Must be studying in a government or recognized school.
- Family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh per year.
- The student should have passed 10th class in the same academic year; previous year mark sheets are not accepted.
- Selection will be based on the official merit list released by the government.

How to Apply for the Haryana Free Laptop Scheme?
If you scored 90% or more in the 10th board exam and want to benefit from this scheme:
- Check if your name appears in the merit list published by the Haryana government.
- If listed, visit your school with all required documents.
- The school will initiate the application process and send your details to the concerned department.
- After document verification at the school level, your name will be included in the final list.
- Once selected, you will receive a free laptop under the scheme.
